Printed Labels are as easy as 1,2,3!
When most people think of printing labels – be it wine labels, beer labels, labels with rfid tags, personalised labels, food labels, or any other kind of printed label – there seems to be an idea that it is going to be really complex and a hassle of a process. Whatever the cause, we find our customers are always pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to get labels from Label & Litho.
Our three-step label printing process
Step 1: Tell us if you’ve had any label printing issues before
Often customers come to us for their printed labels after having had an issue with a previous printer. Be sure to let us know, and we’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Step 2: Order confirmation
After we enter your print job into our system, we’ll send you an Order Confirmation to check. It’s important that you check it carefully to make sure we have all the details right. If something is wrong call us right away on 0800 425 223 so that we can put it right before we go to print. Don’t forget to check out our Art requirements, too.
Step 3: Proof your printed labels
For new jobs and alterations we ALWAYS provide a proof of your label (usually emailed within approx 48 hours of us raising the job). You need to check your proof VERY, very, carefully. Things to check on your label proof:
1. Spelling
2. Placement of text and images on your label
3. Winding style and any other finishing details
Be warned – like any printing process, there are often times when the text/images change or drop off – so don’t assume what you sent in will be the same and in exactly the right places. Furthermore, sometimes a spelling error can slip through unnoticed, so make sure to take advantage of this extra step to do a final spell check of your labels. Make sure to also check your proof against a copy of the artwork you sent to make sure it matches.
If the proof is as it should be, fantastic! It just needs you to sign it off and return it to the sender. If there are any mistakes you need to let us know urgently so that we can produce a new proof. We will keep doing proofs until there are no mistakes.
Remember: The printed labels you get will be exactly what you have signed off!

Order confirmation: Emailed as soon as we enter your job in our system.
Proof (New Jobs/Alterations): Usually emailed within approx. 48 hours of the job being entered into our system.
Proof chase: Usually within 2 or 3 days if we haven’t heard from you.
Delivery: Approximately 5 days from proof sign-off.
